Consider Your Calling: Shaking off the Gideon Mentality

Though seemingly unqualified and from nowhere, the Lord takes the lowly and super qualified them IN Christ!

What if you are destined for more than you are realizing?

1 Corinthians 1:26-28, 30-31 (ESV)
26 For consider your calling, brothers: not many of you were wise according to worldly standards, not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth.
27 But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong;
28 God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are,
30 And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption,
31 so that, as it is written, “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.”

1 Corinthians 6:2-3 (ESV)
2 Or do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is to be judged by you, are you incompetent to try trivial cases?
3 Do you not know that we are to judge angels? How much more, then, matters pertaining to this life!

We must shake off the "Gideon Mentality" in order to embrace our deliverance destiny!

Judges 6:12, 15-16 (ESV)
12 And the angel of the Lord appeared to him and said to him, “The Lordis with you, O mighty man of valor.”
15 And he said to him, “Please, Lord, how can I save Israel? Behold, my clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father's house.”
16 And the Lord said to him, “But I will be with you, and you shall strike the Midianites as one man.”
