Deuteronomy 4:1-2
1 “And now, O Israel, listen to the statutes and the rules that I am teaching you, and do them, that you may live, and go in and take possession of the land that the Lord, the God of your fathers, is giving you.
2 You shall not add to the word that I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God that I command you.
The Lord dealt with His people on the basis of His word.
If they obeyed exalting the authority of the Lord’s Word then life and blessing manifested.
If they disobeyed by degrading the authority of the Lord’s Word then death and curse followed them.
Training children involves “establishing the value of our word” in the lives of our children.
Rebellion and disobedience is the result of a child’s heart degrading the authority of the parents’ word.
How do you build a value for your word in their lives?
Your words in their lives can save and prosper them. So, with diligence train your children to value your words.
Proverbs 1:8-9
8 Hear, my son, your father's instruction, and forsake not your mother's teaching,
9 for they are a graceful garland for your head and pendants for your neck.
