13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

2 Corinthians 11:1-3 (NIV)

2 Corinthians 10:3-5 (NIV)
3 For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does.
4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.
5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

A stronghold is:
1) an argument, reasoning
2) a pretension (lofty opinion, high minded thing), allegation of doubtful value – “pretend” claim
3) always lifted up, set up, raised up against (anti-) the knowledge of God
A stronghold starts as a thought - a reasonable one - often noble - that’s not exactly bad.
It is NOT birthed from the knowledge of God
Strongholds - to be demolished, destroyed
Thoughts - to be taken captive, made to be obedient
