The Church IS the Supernatural House of Prayer

I believe that we are in the midst of a Holy Spirit Identity and Priority shift in the Church.

The church, especially in the West, has been functioning as a natural organization instead of a supernatural organism.

One of the main reasons for this is that She (the Church) has not embraced her identity as a House of Prayer.

Isaiah prophesies and Jesus confirms that His House will be a House of Prayer.

Isaiah 56:7 (ESV)
7 these I will bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer; their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be accepted on my altar; for my house shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples.”

Matthew 21:12-14 (ESV)
12 And Jesus entered the temple and drove out all who sold and bought in the temple, and he overturned the tables of the money-changers and the seats of those who sold pigeons.
13 He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you make it a den of robbers.”
14 And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple, and he healed them.

The days where prayer is seen as a momentary time to pause and bless the real work of the kingdom are coming to an end.

Why Prayer?
1. The One True God is a Glorious Communicating Trinity of Three Persons.
2. Eden, which is what the whole earth will become, is in one respect a prayer/worship center.
3. Our pictures of heaven in scripture clearly reveal an unceasing flow of worship and prayer from the creatures to the creator.
4. As modeled by Jesus and the Apostles in Acts, True Ministry is a Perpetual Relational Dialogue not a Duty Driven Monologue.
5. The return of Jesus will happen in the midst of a Global Praying Church who is praying with the Spirit - MARANATHA!

The Shepherds and Saints are still struggling with Prayer and Worship being the Highest priorities in the life of the Church.

There is a raging controversy over ownership of the Lord’s House!
   Matthew 21:13 (ESV)
   13 … ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ …

   Matthew 23:38 (ESV)
   38 See, your house is left to you desolate.

It is time to re-establish Jesus’ ownership over His House by becoming a people of prayer as opposed to a people of planning, programs, and problem solving.

The Church is to be a House of Prayer not a House of Planning, Strategizing, Meetings, etc.

We are making progress by the increase of 24/7 prayer ministries:
  1985 - 25
  2019 - 20,000+

But...Oh, we have a way to go!

Wichita must make the transition from House of Work to House of Prayer and it will take a miracle!
