Notes

If you are a believer, you have received two primary graces in your life:

1. Grace for Salvation
“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”
Ephesians 2:8-9 ESV

2. Grace of Gifting
“We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.”
Romans 12:6-8 NIV

Seven Grace Gifts
1. Prophecy: a revelatory grace that discerns and speaks the mind of God about a person or situation
2. Serving: a working grace that accomplishes a practical task
3. Teaching: a revelatory grace that brings forth the truth of the scriptures
4. Exhortation: an encouraging grace that builds hope and faith
5. Giving: a financial grace that supplies needs
6. Leadership: a headship grace that releases vision and brings order to accomplish
7. Mercy: a compassion grace that reveals the love and heart of the Lord to comfort and heal

These gifts:
- are permanently in you. They do not come and go like the “manifestation gifts” in 1 Corinthians 12
- determine your “spiritual personality”
- affect your spiritual perception of the kingdom
- explain your “tailor made” spiritual warfare
- connect the Body of Christ and bring Glory to God
- must be known and matured in

The best way to know your gift is to notice what spontaneously leaps out of you when Christ is needed.

Gifted For Kingdom Assignments

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”

“What then is Apollos? What is Paul? Servants through whom you believed, as the Lord assigned to each. I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth.”
