Church Meetings
1 Corinthians 14:26 (NIV)
26 What then shall we say, brothers and sisters? When you come together, each of you has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. Everything must be done so that the church may be built up.

Equipping Meetings
Ephesians 4:11-16 (NIV)
11 So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers,
12 to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up
13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
14 Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming.
15 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.
16 From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.

“Equipped”:
- Supplied with the necessary items for a particular purpose
- To furnish for service or action by appropriate provisioning
- To Prepare or Make Ready

- For Works of Service (Equip Meetings)
- So That the Body of Christ Might be Built Up (Church Meetings)
- Until we ALL Reach Unity (in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God)
-     and [Until we] Become mature
- Attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of God

Church (1 Corinthians 14)
- Everyone comes with something
- Goal = Build Up!
- “As Each Part Does Its Work”

Equip Meeting (Ephesians 4)
- To Prepare / Make Ready for YOUR work
- Sound Doctrine, Helpful Teaching
- Public Reading of Scripture

1 Corinthians 14:3 (NIV)
3 But the one who prophesies speaks to people for their strengthening, encouraging and comfort.

Acts 2:46-47 (NIV)
46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 
47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
