Notes

1 Corinthians 14:3 (ESV)
3 On the other hand, the one who prophesies speaks to people for their upbuilding and encouragement and consolation.

The biblical use of the prophetic gift in the body of Christ is to produce:
1. Upbuilding: edifying
2. Encouragement: strengthen heart
3. Consolation: comfort

In other words, prophecy should build up faith not produce fear or confusion.

If a word you get will produce that, pray don’t prophesy.

The enemy wants to produce fear and uncertainty. The Lord wants to build faith and confidence.
