Gospel = “Glad Tidings, Good News”

Romans 1:16-17 (NIV)
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.
17 For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”

Philippians 3:8-9 (NIV)

Our Need Today - to Live In The Reality of the Kingdom of Heaven

Blessed / Happy / Fortunate / to be envied are those who have Nothing in Themselves

“The knowledge of our own poverty is what brings us to the proper place where Jesus Christ accomplishes His work”

Proper Place = Philippians 2:12-13

13 for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.

Sanctification is God’s Will for Your Life (1 Thessalonians 4:3)

Not Imitation - But Impartation

Allowing the perfect qualities of Jesus to exhibit themselves in my flesh

The Requirements in the Sermon on the Mount = Humanly Impossible

The demands are placed on the Life of Christ within us
