Starting with a recap of the last year of teachings, Jonathan then picks up where he left off in his last sermon - prophecy begins with a listening ear. We must not be “uninformed” of the gifts the Spirit has given. Isaiah 50 says our ear must be “wakened” before our tongue can bring a word that sustains the weary. Hearing & believing the first voice (the gentle voice of our Shepherd) prevents us from listening to the second voice of a stranger.
