During this season of a release of creative, heavenly expression among us, Aaron Parish reads a poem he wrote this week concerning the coming of the Lord. “Through the praise of children and infants you have established a stronghold against your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger.” (Psalm 8:2)

That God Will Come
By Aaron Parish

Skies and Trees and the God who made it.
Cliffs and Canyons and the Son who saved it.
My God is true.
He broke my chains.

So I say to you:
Do you hear the trumpets calling?
The Lord’s approaching and sin is falling.
Death and sin where is your call?
My God’s the one who made it all.

He banished you to Satan’s fall.
No sin, or death, or lies at all.
Heaven’s here with the Lion and the Lamb,
With blood so clean.

He’s on the rise so Satan,
Watch your demise.
He’s coming through the gates of heaven,
All the way to Israel.

You would know through the Bible.
Satan’s on the run because he knows.

Do you hear the Angels coming?
Do you hear the trumpets blasting?
Did you see that Satan’s running?
And Jesus’ life is everlasting.

The curtain’s torn.
The cross is fallen.
He has claimed His rightful place on the throne.
Baal doesn’t stand a chance against my God.

Assemble all of you and listen.
Who among you has declared these things?
The Lord loves us.
He will perform His work on Babylon.
His arm will be against the Chaldeans.
