Lizzie shares a short word in season regarding suffering, and then Jonathan teaches through the Old & New Testaments on the subject of obedience. In Ezekiel 36, we get a prophetic promise / solution to the inward problem of man - a deadened spirit. The Man Christ Jesus came to say, “Here I am! I have come to do Your will”. In His obedience, Jesus serves as the template for every disciple after Him, which is why “obey” is at the center of the Great Commission. It’s less about doing obedience, and more about submitting to the obedient One within us. For the “how”, Jonathan takes us through hearing and knowing the first person Holy Spirit in the book of Acts, and then finishes with some practical examples of two disciples in Colorado. “Those who heed instruction will prosper"

Disobedience Brings Death

Obedience Brings Blessing

16 and said, “I swear by myself, declares the Lord, that because you have done this and have not withheld your son, your only son,
17 I will surely bless you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sand on the seashore. Your descendants will take possession of the cities of their enemies,
18 and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed me.”

Problem = Within not Without

Prophetic Solution - Ezekiel 36:25-29

26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.
27 And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.
28 Then you will live in the land I gave your ancestors; you will be my people, and I will be your God.
29 I will save you from all your uncleanness. I will call for the grain and make it plentiful and will not bring famine upon you.

9 and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him

19 For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.

Disobedience of the one man = Many Sinners
Obedience of The One Man = Many Righteous
