Jonathan teaches about knowing the Lord through sharing in His sufferings. We should not be “surprised” by trials, but rather rejoice in them because we “participate” with Jesus!  The principle throughout life and Scripture is “Life Out Of Death”.  He finishes with the story of Heman - the wise and honored grandson of Samuel who also wrote the “saddest Psalm” in the Bible.
