"At the dedication of the Temple, Solomon prophetically prayed for future forgiveness from future idolatry and covenant curses, in accordance with Moses prophecies in Deuteronomy 28. Then, as Moses prophesied in chapter 32, Solomon shifted his prayer on behalf of foreigners who would seek Yahweh for His Names sake (the very purpose of Israel, Gen. 12:3)."
