At the end of the service in El Dorado this last Sunday, I felt led to give a strong pastoral and prophetic warning to the body from James 3.
James 3:14 But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and be false to the truth. 15 This is not the wisdom that comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic.16 For wherejealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice.17 But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.
James warns that having a heart of bitter jealousy and selfish ambition opens the door to earthly, unspiritual, and even demonic things to happen in relationships. He goes further to say that where this stuff exist there is disorder and every vile practice.
I have seen this happen in multiple families, churches, and even in the ministry at New Life. Doors have been open to vile practices, demonic influence, and thus disorder thorough jealousy, ambition(pride), and even anger mixed with offense.
I am pleading with all of the spiritual family at New Life, as well as our friends from other ministries that read this, to please watch the 12 minute video below. Then please bring your heart before the Lord asking him to free you from any of these heart attitudes so that you might have kingdom order filled with peace in all of your relationships.
Have you ever read the Narnia books or watched the movies written by C.S. Lewis? The first one depicts a dark land where the wicked White Witch has cast a spell on the land and it is forever winter. Lewis portrayed Christ in the character of Aslan the Lion. Things were changing in the land of Narnia and there was a sense that the winter was on borrowed time. My favorite scene is when the animals are gathered in the Beavers den talking in excited whispers. One of them says "Aslan is on the move!" and that statement causes each one of them to experience different emotions. They are filled with expectations as they know when Aslan is on the move, then the spell is about to be broken.
I want to share with you that there has been a blanket of deception that has been on our land for quite some time. Many people in our midst are living under the rule of the enemy feeling there is no hope or future for them. But, my friends, God is on the move!! And what has been in the past is getting ready to give way to a time of New Beginnings. We are seeing an increase of sharing the gospel in our centers. Just this past week one of our new male client advocates led a young father to the Lord. We are working with him to find some discipleship for him. Hallelujah! As I write this note a sonogram is taking place in the next room. A family is getting to hear the beating of a heart that has promise and a future! Our nurse, Teresa, will be sharing the Good News with them also. Hallelujah! We have been seeing miracles take place in our finances. I look forward to sharing one of those stories with you this next week during the service.
Also, I am excited to announce that God has provided through the churches in our community doing our Baby Bottle Campaign over $10,000 in change. Hallelujah! We have just put in the order for a new portable sonogram machine that will make it possible to go to surrounding communities. Hallelujah! Yes, God is on the move and time is short for the season of oppression in our land. Please keep us in your prayers. Please keep giving as you feel led. Please consider volunteering your time and talents as the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. God is on the move! Hallelujah!
"Appointed Time"
In prayer last Thursday, while waiting on and listening to the Holy Spirit, I clearly heard:
"This is the "appointed time" for the answer of many prayers prayed in the past, even decades ago."
Felt like this was in the language of
Habakkuk 2:
2 And the LORD answered me: "Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it.
3 For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.
I feel we should be expecting answers to many prayers we have prayed in the past to start manifesting around us.
Interestingly we are starting to see prayers that have been prayed in the past starting to be answered already in this season in the areas of salvation, healing, business breakthroughs, etc.
There is much more to come. Many seeds of prayer have been germinating in the spirit-realm and are now about to sprout forth in fruitful answers.
The Law of Blessing Through Giving "It is more blessed to give than to receive." Acts 20:35
We are made to be a river not a pond. Meaning, we are made for the presence and works of the Spirit to flow into us and then through us to others instead of just being a collecting pool of the blessings of God that eventually mosses over.
I am blessed to be able to make many disciples and train many saints. Because of this some will express concern about my becoming fatigued from these many relationships, ministries, and meetings. But the reality is that it is a law that if you give away, you will be blessed. Actually it revives my soul to give to others and it can yours also.
I have recently seen an increase of blessing come through this principle in multiple peoples lives. Specifically, I have seen some of my older brothers lead someone to Jesus and then begin to disciple them which inevitabley led to personal revival in their own lives. We are meant to flow in order to grow. We must give if we really want to receive.
I encourage all that read this to begin to intentionally pray for opportunities to give away the blessing of Jesus. More specifically, begin to pray for the opportunity to lead someone to Jesus and then to disciple them. I tell you that this activity will activate blessing in your life in multiple ways because it is- more blessed to give than to receive.
Trust in the Lord with all of your heart, leaning not on your own understanding...Prov. 3:5
At the end of the day, following Jesus is the core of discipleship. But following Jesus is hard when you have been deciding your own way for years. It involves a full surrender without the payoff of things looking successful or even making sense. And to be honest, we often do not follow because the call does not make sense. Or because we cannot see how it will be effective.
Jesus never asks us to fully understand but rather to fully surrender. We all need to be able to let go of the passionate desire to understand every leading of the Spirit or we will never walk in the Spirit at all.
Leaning on our own understanding can really short-circutt the process of walking by faith. We always assume that if God calls us to do something that there must be some dramatic thing that is going to happen. And in actuality, all of our obedience is dramatic in that we are expressing life in the kingdom which drives back the rebellious activity of the enemy. But to our human eyes things often turn out different that we expect and we may not know the reason until the next age.
I pray that the Lord would give you and I more grace to simply obey by faith and less of a drive to always understand why he calls us. The Lord is faithful and is the only one that really needs to understand the "why" behind His commands. Let us trust in the Lord with all of our heart and leave the results to him.
