Notes

Psalms 23:1-3 (ESV)
1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters.
3 He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Receiving the Shepherding of Lord leads to the Restoration of the Soul

The Shepherding of the Lord involves Rod & Staff dimensions of ministry

Rod & Staff Ministry is often applied by the word of the Lord

Rod: Loving discipline that reveals heart level issues that release death in our lives and relationships.
Staff: Loving Leadership that leads us into life receiving and healing presence.

The word of God has a dynamic working power that will, like a seed, produce fruit of the Spirit in our minds, emotions, and relationships.

Isaiah 55:10-11 (ESV)
10 “For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater,
11 so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.
