1 Samuel 30:6 (ESV)
6 “And David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because all the people were bitter in soul, each for his sons and daughters. But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God.”

6 “David was greatly distressed, for the men spoke of stoning him because the souls of them all were bitterly grieved, each man for his sons and daughters. But David encouraged and strengthened himself in the Lord his God.”

David had to intentionally encourage and strengthen himself in the Lord!

The unique thing is not whether you will battle discouragement or discouraging circumstances.

The unique thing is if you will battle it by encouraging yourself over and over in God.
