Resting in the Sovereignty of God

The Bible clearly declares that the one and only God is absolutely sovereign over all things.

Though the absolute sovereignty of God brings up some tough, and at times unanswerable, questions, it should never the less be embraced as accurate truth.

Job 42:2 (ESV)
2 “I know that you can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be thwarted.

Daniel 4:35 (ESV)
35 all the inhabitants of the earth are accounted as nothing, and he does according to his will among the host of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth; and none can stay his hand or say to him, “What have you done?”

Psalm 135:6-7 (ESV)

7 He it is who makes the clouds rise at the end of the earth, who makes lightnings for the rain and brings forth the wind from his storehouses.

4) Enlarges my wonder and worship
5) Builds enduring hope because it is centered in His love and goodness
6) Gives assurance of victory against the enemy
