The Lord who saved and leads you loves you with an everlasting love. He sees you and knows that you have known strong days and weak days. It is He who led you through seasons of breakthrough and challenge.

It was always my will that El Dorado would be starting place of a move that would bless the state and the nations. It is not the only place the Lord moves but it is one. Just as there was an oil boom that touched the area and nations so there is a kingdom move to touch the same.

Though misunderstood by leadership the Lord never misunderstood that El Dorado would need to take a place of “weakness and sacrifice” in order to be a blessing. The Lord spoke this to me (Sam) in 1991 but it was little understood. It was not just for me but us.

Weakness is our ordained place so that the Lord gets maximum glory. The Apostle Paul learned it with a thorn of torment and we must learn it with a thorn of misunderstanding and loss. But as to him, the Lord says “my strength is perfected in the midst of weakness and my grace is sufficient”.

But just as there is involuntary weakness so there is voluntary weakness. You have always been invited into the “weakness of prayer” as a testimony to the city. Forsake not this privileged and princely call.

The Lord just has One Church in El Dorado but in that church you at New Life El Dorado carry the primary testimony of (1) prayer, (2) service, and (3) community. Other fellowships are blessed and the gospel is advanced when you step into these three assignments.

First - the Lord said, “My House shall be called a House of Prayer” and you (New Life) are to be a living witness of it at every level of your life and ministry together. It is more than a set of meetings, it is a culture that involves “kingdom dialogue” not “ministry monologue”.

Second - Servants are the greatest in the kingdom. If you stay in a stream of service to the Lord, one another, and the community the greatness of the gospel will be seen. This fellowship is full of “Servant Leaders” by the design of the Lord.

Thirdly - The Church is a family, a community, not a business or organization. You are to be a living witness to the power of the body of Christ living in Spirit-led community. The power of the “equipped saints” ministry has never been fully seen in El Dorado and the Lord intends to witness to it and then spread it to the larger church. The Lord does some work in the buildings and on the platforms, but He does His greatest work in the homes and the streets.

I believe that New Life is to faithfully carry a witness to these three as it serves the Lord, His Church, and the gospel purpose among the lost.
