“Shall Not Should” is the difference between Sonship and Slavery
Living and Ministering with Prophetic Confidence

13 He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you make it a den of robbers.”

37 And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.
Deuteronomy 30:6 (ESV)
6 And the Lord your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your offspring, so that you will love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, that you may live.
Shall is a prophetic proclamation of what WILL be.
Should is a performance obligation of what ought to be.
Though the Shall includes a Should, it is far more than a Should.
Saul operated by the Should, always thinking that he had not done enough.
David operated by the Shall, slaying giants that stood in the way of his destiny.
The Shall is focused upon the divine resolve of the Lord to accomplish.
The Should is focused upon the of human un-reliability to accomplish.
Prophetic confidence is essential for endurance, encouragement, or to say another way - the ability to not lose heart.
Prophetic confidence, not a sense of obligation, fuels our faith to meet the challenge in front of us.
Are you saying “He Shall” or “I Should” in the inner parts of your heart?
He Shall supply all your needs - Philippians 4:19
He Shall finish what he started in you - Philippians 1:6
He Shall work ALL things to your good - Romans 8:28
He Shall avenge - Romans 12:19
He Shall give you favor in your life - Psalm 5:12
He Shall make his house a house of prayer - Matthew 21:13
He Shall make His name great in all the earth - Malachi 1:11
We Should do some things, but the power to do this is rooted in the Lord’s Shall!
