The Fulcrum of the Christian Faith

In 1 Corinthians 15:14 Paul wrote: “…if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith.”

So the resurrection is the fulcrum, the pivot point for our faith, the existence of the Church and hope for our own resurrection one day.

Let’s get to the evidence:
Historical Facts (near unanimous scholar consensus)
- Empty tomb
- Jesus died by crucifixion
- His disciples had experiences they believed were the risen Jesus
- The resurrection of Jesus was the central message of the early church.  This message powered its explosive growth.

James, Jesus’ half-brother, believed he had seen the risen Jesus.
Paul believed he saw the risen Jesus.
