Rise Up
by Lizzie Brickley
Laying in your grave
Cold and dark, alone
The darkest night in history
It looks like all is gone
Bursting forth with light
Rising up with power
Risen from the grave
At the darkest hour
You needed nothing from me
You did it as the King of Kings
Rose and paid the price
The sound of freedom rings
I was gone and dead
I had no life before you came
Now I’ve been raised and made alive
All to your glorious name
Rise up, oh army
Come forth from your grave
It is time now
To come and sing my praise
Come forth from your hiding
Come forth from your shame
Stand in the blood of the lamb
Arise now in My name
For I have paid it all
The battle will be won
Stand as kingdom priests
Glorify my risen Son
Arise and sing, my bride
I’m coming and won’t delay
Trust my hand as I purify
I am the only way
The lamb came as a sacrifice
The sacrifice for all of yours
Fully believe in this now
The Lion of Judah roars
Oh dam burst forth
Living waters are coming now
Rushing and rising
Listen church to the sound
It is not a time to calculate
Look not at the enemy’s attack
Stand and rise up now
This is not a time to shrink back
Jesus is the King
Jesus is the only One
Jesus we love you
We stand in the name of your Son!
