Lizzie shares a short word in season regarding suffering, and then Jonathan teaches through the Old & New Testaments on the subject of obedience. In Ezekiel 36, we get a prophetic promise / solution to the inward problem of man - a deadened spirit. The Man Christ Jesus came to say, “Here I am! I have come to do Your will”. In His obedience, Jesus serves as the template for every disciple after Him, which is why “obey” is at the center of the Great Commission. It’s less about doing obedience, and more about submitting to the obedient One within us. For the “how”, Jonathan takes us through hearing and knowing the first person Holy Spirit in the book of Acts, and then finishes with some practical examples of two disciples in Colorado. “Those who heed instruction will prosper"
In this next season of the EQUIP School of Discipleship, we will focus on the topic of Love. Love is the paramount issue of the kingdom of God and of our lives. There is no higher life vision than to grow in love.
Matt Osborn shares: What I Love Deeply about Jesus, and what it means to have an intimate encounter with the living God. He focuses in on several stories in the book of Mark dealing with Jesus' uncommon love for mankind.
All Scripture is God breathed! Today, Satan’s attack on the Word of God is the same as it was in the garden; “Did God really say…?” Jonathan teaches through the old and new Testaments about the power and authority of the living words of God. Ending in Luke 24 we see how Jesus is the key to unlocking the Scripture. He opens our eyes, hearts and minds!
During this season of a release of creative, heavenly expression among us, Aaron Parish reads a poem he wrote this week concerning the coming of the Lord. “Through the praise of children and infants you have established a stronghold against your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger.” (Psalm 8:2)
Drew Parish shares a teaching from his heart about the glory of the Scriptures. He shares from personal experience seeing the devastation of people drifting away from faith and the authority of the Word. He finishes by reminding us of the simple, powerful gospel and the necessity to teach our children well.
Our sister Beth shares a word of preparation that the Lord laid on her heart a few weeks ago. It is important we “Gird up” and prepare for the coming battle and season ahead.
